About WWYW Australia

  • WWYW is run by a volunteer-led collective of survivors, advocates, creatives, and community members. We're committed to amplifying survivor voices, sharing resources, and challenging harmful narratives around sexual violence.

  • Our services run off of the generous contributions from the public. These funds go towards our services: Survivor Healing Groups, Festival/Venue Safe Spaces, Survivor Packs, and Advocacy Services.

We also run Survivor Healing Groups - facilitated peer spaces for those who’ve experienced trauma to connect, feel heard, and begin healing together. These groups are led by trained professionals. More info: https://wwywaus.org/survivor-healing-groups. While we’re here to listen and share survivor-centered resources, we always recommend speaking to a professional for personalised care and ongoing support

  • Yes! Our survivor healing groups are led by mental health professionals, to ensure the safety of victim-survivors. If the professional is sick, or unavailable the group cannot go ahead. Our Festival/Venue Safe Spaces, when possible, have mental health professionals. Our future goal is to have funding to have an onsite counsellor present!

  • Yes. WWYW supports survivors of all genders, including men, nonbinary, trans, and gender-diverse individuals. Our spaces aim to be inclusive, and we share resources and stories from a wide range of lived experiences.
